Florence, Italy is the birthplace of the Renaissance and home to a unique blend of historic, social, educational, familial, and business ventures. The Human Development and Family Studies in Florence Fall 2023 embedded program (HDFS 499) is being offered through the Mont Alto Campus. The course will be offered through Zoom on Wednesday evenings from 6 - 8:30 p.m. throughout the semester, with 10 days of travel from November 16-26, 2023. Students must depart the United States on Thursday, November 16th as the program begins on Friday, November 17th.

During the embedded travel component, housing will consist of hotel overnight accommodations.
The process for enrolling in an embedded course varies according to the instructor and/or department. The program leader has indicated that in order to enroll in the course and travel component, students will need to complete an online application by the first week of the Fall semester to be considered for the program. There will be one short essay question to assess students' desire and ability to integrate learning experience with study abroad opportunity. Fall 2023 application
