Eligibility
- 18 years of age or above
- Good academic and disciplinary standing at Penn State
- 2.5 cumulative GPA or better at the time of application
- Second semester Sophomore standing or above at the start of the program
Program Description
Students register for a total of 6 credits: one of the Internship Cornerstone Courses and one elective course. Students will be at their internship placement eight hours a day for three days per week and take their elective course at the Arcadia London Center.

The Arcadia London Center is the hub for Arcadia student support in England and Wales. It is located in the heart of the renowned literary area of Bloomsbury, London’s university quarter, which is bustling with activity in the arts, education and medicine and is a short walk from Covent Garden, the West End theatre district and a multitude of shops, restaurants and entertainment venues.
The London metropolitan area is the largest in the European Union with a total population of 13.6 million. The city is a global leader in finance, industry, education, fashion, the arts, entertainment and healthcare and boasts being the world’s most visited city as measured by international arrivals.
London is truly multi-cultural with more than 300 languages spoken throughout the city. There are many ethnic restaurants, diverse musical styles, and vibrant neighborhood street markets selling everything from didgeridoos or African drums to more traditional British antiques.
Education Abroad in Countries with a Penn State Restricted Travel Designation
In order to comply with Penn State’s International Travel Policy, students interested in studying abroad in countries that Penn State has designated as “restricted” for travel, a petition for a waiver must be submitted. Once a petition is complete, and if the student is approved for study on the program in question, the student may be asked to meet with the Director of Education Abroad and the petition will be reviewed by the Penn State International Restricted Travel Committee (IRTC). The necessary petition will be included in the online application process for this program.
