Tuition and Program Fee

As institutions around the world determine program costs at different times, it is difficult for EA to provide actual cost information until shortly before the beginning of a program. You are encouraged to consult this document on a regular basis as it is frequently updated with the most current cost information and billing information available. The cost of tuition is subject to change. Program costs are estimates and subject to change up to the program commitment deadline. Tuition rates are subject to change.

Students are assessed the standard University Park Penn State Tuition & Technology Fee and the Education Abroad Administrative Fee.
The program costs include:

  • Lodging
  • Transportation for excursions
  • Admission fees

Non-PA residents participating on this program will be credited an amount in the Beginning Balance of their semester bills which when subtracted from the Non-PA tuition rate reflects a net tuition equal to the established PA resident tuition rate.

Program Withdrawal/Refund Guidelines

Education Abroad makes every attempt at keeping the program and administrative costs to a minimum. However, when you commit to participating in a program, Education Abroad begins to make financial commitments on your behalf. In case of withdrawal, the following fees will be charged to your Bursar account

  • Upon Commitment - 90 Days Prior to Departure: 25% Program Fee + EA Admin Fee

  • 30 - 89 Days Prior to Departure: 50% Program Fee + EA Admin Fee

  • 29 Days - Departure Date: 100% Program Fee + EA Admin Fee

Following the start of the summer semester, any adjustment of tuition charges will be made according to the Tuition Adjustment Schedule as determined by the Office of the Bursar. More information can be found on the University Senate Policy on Withdrawal and Leave of Absence .
