Assistant Director for Customized Programs

Kate is the Asstant Director for Faculty-Led Programs.  In this role, she advises and supports faculty members who are planning to lead summer programs and short-term embedded courses abroad.  The main special initiative on which she works is the continued development of Penn State's academic engagements in Cuba.

As an undergraduate student, Kate studied in Salamanca, Spain.  Studying abroad ignited her interest in international travel and education abroad; since then she has taught English in Chile, volunteered in Guatemala and the Dominican Republic, and visited many other countries in Latin America and Europe for both professional and personal travel.
