As institutions around the world determine program costs at different times, it is difficult for EA to provide actual cost information until shortly before the beginning of a program. You are encouraged to consult this document on a regular basis as it is frequently updated with the most current cost information and billing information available.
Program costs are estimates and subject to change up to the program commitment deadline. If Penn State tuition rates are adjusted for the summer, then the education abroad program fee would be scaled accordingly to arrive at the same total billable amount listed on the budget sheet.
Students are assessed the standard University Park Penn State Tuition & Technology Fee, Education Abroad Administrative Fee, and an Education Abroad Program Fee.
The Program Fee includes:
Some meals (2 a day provided by host families; some meals provided on excursions)
Field trips and related transport
Some local transport in Lima
Non-PA residents participating on this program will be credited an amount in the Beginning Balance of their semester bills which when subtracted from the Non-PA tuition rate reflects a net tuition equal to the established PA resident tuition rate.
Program Withdrawal/Refund Guidelines
Education Abroad makes every attempt at keeping the program and administrative costs to a minimum. However, when you commit to participating in a program, Education Abroad begins to make financial commitments on your behalf. In case of withdrawal, the following fees will be charged to your Bursar account
